10 Minute Warning je bend iz Seattlea, koji je bio aktivan tijekom 80’ih. Iako je trajao veoma kratko (otprilike 2. godine), smatra se bitnim čimbenikom u evoluciji glazbenog pravca znanog kao grunge,a ovaj album je najbolji dokaz. This Could Be Heaven je snimljen prije nekih četrdeset godina, i tek nedavno je vidio svijetlo dana. Album počinje s Stooge, za koju bih kazao da je hommage kumovima punk rocka, The Stooges, pogotovo albumu Funhouse. Lights je spoj post-punk/gothic rocka i hard rocka, kao što je slučaj s Echoes.
Woke Up Dreaming je čista, rokerska stvar u stilu Sisters Of Mercy/Mission, dok u Last Dream, u početku dominira zvuk u stilu Hendrixa, zatim prelazi u punk rock tipa Stooges/MC5. Necropolitian Affair se također naslanja na zvuk Stooges/MC5, no ima stvari koje pokazuju različite utjecaje, kao što je prog rock. Tako da je Disraeli dosta u stilu Hawkwinda, dok This Could Be Heaven bi najbolji opis bi bio kao Hawkwind predvođenim Iggy Popom.
Jasno, tu imamo i obradu, Pink Floydova Nile Song, za koju se smatra pretečom grungea. Za album bi kazao, iako dominira post-punk/gothic rock, po mom mišljenju, najbolji opis bi bio Stooges meets Hawkwind.
Također, moram napomeniti, iako ovaj bend bio kratkog vijeka, imao je veliki utjecaj na bendove, za koje se smatraju pionirima tog glazbenog pravca, kao što su Green River, Skin Yard, a opet to se vidi po obradi pjesme Nile Song. Bez obzira ako niste ljubitelj tog glazbenog pravca, preporučujem ga svima tko voli bendove kao što su Stooges ili Hawkwind.

10 Minute Warning is a band from Seattle that was active during the 80s. Although it lasted a very short time (approximately 2 years), it is considered an important factor in the evolution of the musical direction known as grunge, and this album is the best proof. This Could Be Heaven was recorded some forty years ago, and has only recently seen the light of day. The album starts with Stooge, which I would say is a homage to the godfathers of punk rock, The Stooges, especially the album Funhouse. Lights is a blend of post-punk / gothic rock and hard rock, as is the case with Echoes. Woke Up Dreaming is a pure, rocker thing in the style of Sisters Of Mercy / Mission, while in Last Dream, initially dominated by sound in the style of Hendrix, then moves to punk rock type Stooges / MC5. Necropolitian Affair also relies on the sound of Stooges / MC5, but there are things that show different influences, such as prog rock. So Disraeli is pretty much in Hawkwind style, while This Could Be Heaven would be the best description would be like Hawkwind led by Iggy Pop. Clearly, we also have a cover of Pink Floyd’s Nile Song, which is considered a forerunner of grunge. For the album I would say, although it is dominated by post-punk / gothic rock, in my opinion, the best description would be Stooges meets Hawkwind. Also, I must mention, although this band was short-lived, it had a great influence on bands, which are considered pioneers of this musical direction, such as Green River, Skin Yard, and again this is seen in the cover of Nile Song. Whether or not you’re a fan of that musical direction, I recommend it to anyone who loves bands like Stooges or Hawkwind.
